YESTERDAY, Friday, saw four stoppages cleared.
With their navigations then reopened, that were:
Stourbridge—with its Lock 3 ground paddle repaired.
Winkwell Swing Bridge—that would not swing but now will.
Severn—Diglis Lane Lock repaired.
And of course Lock 11 on the Northampton Arm—with a new lock beam.
Rufford Branch needs a scaffold tower to reach its failed paddle, so it and Lock 3 on the Calder & Hebble are both still closed for navigation.
