Stolen motorbike dumped in canal

RUNCORN police searching for stolen motor bikes have found one in the Bridgewater Canal.
This being one of two bikes stolen, the other in the undergrowth, Roger Fox reports.
Magnet fishing
The one in the canal was first discovered by someone magnet fishing who alerted the police.
Cheshire Police officers visited the scene and removed the bike from the canal yesterday, Thursday, as they were searching after a spate of motorbikes were stolen and used around the Runcorn area.
The bikes had their ignition wires cut and hot-wired and were clearly being used illegally.
