Another Llangollen closure

THERE has been another problem on the Llangollen Canal.

This is with Wrenbury Bridge (20), that has closed the waterway, Keith Gudgin reports.

Which makes it the second closure this week, with the other a 'leak' in the bed of the waterway between Hampton Bank Bridge (50) and Roving Bridge (46) at Welshampton.

Two reasons

Canal & River Trust state the reason being vandalism then tell it is due to a vehicle strike at the bridge which has caused a fault to the barriers.

Contractors have been to site.
