After the Winkwell Swing Bridge on the Grand Union broke down four times in the past two months, the Coxhead Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool is attempting to get its record of stoppages back.
Mechanical failure
It is presently out out action owing to a mechanical failure, Keith Gudgin reports.
The bad news is that it is contractors who have been informed, so let's hope when it gets repaired, it stays repaired, unlike the Winkwell.
