A MAN'S body was pulled from the Lee Navigation in East London.
Walkers saw the police attempting to pull a body from the waterway at Lee Bridge on Sunday afternoon, Keith Gudgin reports.
Boat brought in
Eventually a boat was brought in so that the body could be transported to the towpath, where it was then examined.
The police then confirmed that a man's body was pulled from the waterway, but no details were given as contact with relatives had not been made.
The towpath and surrounding area was closed-off whilst the operation took place.
