Now it's the Trent & Mersey closed

THE Trent & Mersey Canal is closed at Malkin's Bank.

This makes it the sixth closure this month yet only Thursday the 4th of the month, which is not looking good for the standard of winter maintenance.

Tailgate issue

There is an issue with the tailgate of Pavillion Lock (62) at Malkin's Bank, Keith Gudgin reports.

But the stoppage notice is not really clear as it states that Pavillion Lock has the issue, but the problem starts and ends at Saw Pit Lock (62) on the Trent & Mersey Canal.
