What is that noise indeed asks Bill Ridgeway?

The noise I hear is the collective response of the likes of Tom Rolt, Robert Aikman and all the early pioneers and past volunteers of canal restoration turning over in their graves.

If only they could talk

If only they could talk. Their comments on the present state of the canals and waterways would be very interesting.

I guess it would include questioning whether or not it was worth the effort.
