Three lock failures on Sunday

THERE were three lock failures failures on Easter Sunday.

Barrowford Flight was closed  with Lock 51 being inoperable, Keith Gudgin reports.

This was followed by Lock 64 on the Grand Union having an obstruction below the water surface, then Lock 14 on the Trent & Mersey having a damaged lock gate, all three closing the waterways.

Good news

But then the good news! The problem at the Grand Union Lock was cleared the same day and the one on the Trent & Mersey yesterday, Tuesday.

So must have been Canal & River Trust's own teams at work!
