Blocks of flats overlooking Shropshire Union Canal

PERMISSION has been given for blocks of flats overlooking the Shropshire Union Canal in Chester.
The blocks, build on a present brownfield site, will include 133 flats, Roger Fox reports.
Close to the waterway
Work is to start this year on the building of the flats that will be close to the waterway as it winds through the city.
It will be built on what is at present a vacant site beside the famous shot tower.
It is stated that 'the canal towpath can be easily accessed from the site, providing a direct and car free route into the historic core of Chester'. The illustration is an artist's impression.
