Now it's the rivers getting too low

THERE is a warning of low water level on the Avon.

Boats on the river in Stratford are grounding due to the reduced level, Roger Fox reports.

Number of locations

The Avon Navigation Trust has reported that due to the unusually low rainfall, there are a number of locations between Evesham and Stratford that are particularly low.

The Environmental Agency gauges on the river are showing the level way below normal.

Though the river remains open to boating without any restrictions, boaters are advised to take care and keep to the centre of the river when navigating to avoid grounding.
