QUICK work indeed from Canal & River Trust on the Aire & Calder.
A problem with Fishpond Lock (4) yesterday, Thursday, closed the navigation at Rothwell, with engineers being called out, Keith Gudgin reports
Rectify the problem
They quickly attended and realised the problem was mechanical and were able to rectify the problem without any delay.
This resulted in the lock being reopened for navigation the same day.
