WITH the winds of such ferocity as at present it is unwise to moor your boat under trees
At the moment many trees are being uprooted in the present storms and it is unwise to moor in their vicinity.
Force of the wind
Such as birch, with hardly any roots, are particularly vulnerable in these winds and should be avoided, with even well established trees unable to stand the force of the wind at present.
Even if in a permanent canalside mooring, if under trees, it would be wise to move elsewhere to a safer place even if only temporary, as many places are now officially in red alert and susceptible to storm damage, particularly trees being uprooted.
