Another quick repair

BY THE end of yesterday, Thursday, there had been another quick repair, this time on the Coventry Canal.

It was on late Wednesday when it was reported that the top gate on Lock 10 on the Atherstone Flight had come out of its cup, with the repair team coming out to attend, Keith Gudgin reports.

Quickly put back

But it was quickly put back in place  and the flight re-opened, with the waiting boats cleared as there was no need to drain the lock to do the work required.

Canal & River Trust ask however that boaters proceed through the lock with care.
