Quick repair to swing bridge

CONTRACTORS are certainly getting the experience of repairs to swing bridges as contributor Neil Barter writes.

JUST a quick one to let you know of the recent repair of the bridge on 22nd July. [New Lane Swing Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.]

Vehicle strike

I arrived at my moorings near to the bridge at about 14.20 and CaRT staff were just disconnecting the barriers after a vehicle strike.

The contractors arrived at 17.00 and had temporarily repaired the bridge and reopened by 18.00.

In the past I've wrote to you complaining about CaRT, but you can't knock the turn-around time on this one.
