On a positive note

WE ARE all glad to be back on the cut and note that all three pairs of locks were working today at Hillmorton, writes Roger Spurr.

They were needed as the traffic is brisk, keeping the very helpful lock.keepers busy.

And you now have an appreciative audience from the well attended cafe operating outdoors between the two bottom sets. The scene made more colourful by the introduction of multicoloured gazebos.

All very jolly and we note that other canal-side businesses have used the lockdown period to spruce up their premises and make the most of their unique locations.
