A bodge gets the Anderton Lift working one morning a week!

THOUGH the Anderton Lift has been repaired it is somewhat of a bodge.

For it only allows the lift to be operated one morning a week, Keith Gudgin reports.

'Successful repair'

For this, the trust tells it is pleased to advise its mechanical and electrical engineers have carried out a successful repair to the flood damaged components on Anderton Boat Lift, and that a completed satisfactory testing has been carried out of the lift over the weekend.

So from tomorrow, Wednesday, the pump will operate one morning a week but for essential travel purposes only, with the first passage at 10am.
