Macc remains closed at Bosley

THE Macclesfield Canal that has a 'hole' in a lock chamber remains closed.

It was on Tuesday that Bosley Flight was closed after a 'hole' was discovered in the chamber of Lock 11, Keith Gudgin reported.

Start on Saturday

The engineers have been on site and calculated what is required  for a repair, with the work scheduled to start on Saturday.

This is when the materials and equipment will arrive on site and work can begin.  In the meantime the flight will of course remain closed.

No anticipated timescale as to completion has been given as there is no certainty of the work required.
