We are certainly being kidded

JOHN Coxon certainly asked the right question of who is kidding who, writes James Henry.

I should imagine that most of your readers will have either seen on television or read in newspapers or the internet this week how the wheat harvest has been decimated by all the rain, so much so that the farmers say that there will be 40% less crop this year.

'Exceptionally dry'

Then alternatively we have Canal & River Trust saying that the 'first half of the year has been exceptionally dry' so the lack of rainfall has caused it to close canals, the latest being six miles of the Chesterfield Canal.

So we know the answer to John's 'who is kidding who' don't we?
