Youth pushing others into canal

A YOUTH standing by the side of Limehouse Basin was pushed into the waterway.

The youth and others were looking at two swans in the water when the other youth ran up out of the crowd, gave him a push and quickly ran off, Alan Tilbury reports.

Jumped on scooter and sped off

The one who was pushed landed in the basin whilst the other ran away then jumped on a scooter and sped off. This was the second report of someone being pushed into the Regents Canal by someone on a scooter.

It seems there had been some altercation concerning a pair of swans beforehand, but the way the youth appears and quickly disappears clearly shows he was not involved with the swan episode.

The police are investigating the episode.
