Another Northern waterway closed

ADDING to the Northern waterways already closed through lack of water the Calder & Hebble Navigation joins them.

Again it is low water levels that are given as the cause, with the navigation closed at Brighouse
between Cromwell and Brookfoot locks, Keith Gudgin reports.

Navigation not possible

Canal & River Trust state it is 'experiencing very low water levels'. between the two locks, it being so low that navigation is not possible.

It is attempting to increase the water feed to restore the levels.
