Why should we be bottled-up?

THESE people saying we [continuos cruisers] are okay just don't get it do they?  Writes Keith Gudgin.

Why should I be forced to stay inside my boat just to avoid idiots that can't obey a few simple requests?  Why should I be bottled-up so they can run wild and free?

Allowed to go outside?

Am I not allowed to go outside to fill my coal bucket in case one of these idiots passes me?  How do I avoid them when going shopping?  How do I stop their dogs jumping all over me an licking me?

Close the towpaths to all other than boaters or are we not worth protecting?

Proves towpaths can be closed

The foot & mouth example was used to prove that the towpaths CAN be closed as opposed to CaRT saying it's not possible.  No analogy was being made between the diseases as it does not apply.  The question pertains to physical closure which has been done in the past so, therefore, is proven to be possible!

CaRT just putting a few notices up asking people not to use the towpath will, from past experience, probably have as much effect as asking cyclists to slow down and give way to pedestrians.  These idiots only understand enforcement!
