Visitors did not like being told to keep walking

THE boaters moored on the summit pound of the of the Grand Union Canal, like others, also suffered the hoards of walkers, runners and cyclists.

In an attempt to protect themselves, they attached a notice to a tree asking them to keep walking so to limit the possible spread of coronavirus, Our Man at the Summit reports.

But the visitors were not having any, so ripped the notice off, as it was missing this morning, that rather shows someone's uncaring attitude.

At such a limited width towpath, with many boats moored, perhaps another location for Canal & River Trust to erect a notice telling not to use the towpath...
