No end date for Caldon stoppage

IT WOULD seem that the Caldon Canal will be closed for some time.

The Froghall Arm is closed to navigation owing to the build up of silt in the channel from Oakmeadowford Lock (16)  to Flint Mill Lock (17) from today, 13th January.

No end date

As Ralph Freeman points out, with no end date listed, is looks like being closed for some time.

There is no dredging scheduled and no such facility in the area.
