Don't blame Canal & River Trust for the algae

I CANNOT see how Canal & River Trust can be blamed for the green algae at Walsall, writes Ann Fleming.

After all it is natural and often covers the canals, especially in days of strong sunlight similar to the two weeks we experienced in late September, and I don't see how the Trust can possibly be responsible for clearing it wherever it appears for after all as the sunlight gets less it disappears.

Local council

I would have thought that should there have been concerns about it in Walsall, the local council should have done something if it was deemed to be dangerous, and obviously it did not.

And didn't those people who stepped onto it not realise?
