AN UNDERWATER search being made of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal for a missing teenager has discovered a body.

The 18 years old Kamau McCallum-James has been missing for a week from his home near the waterway, and as it is completely out of character for him to stay away from home, the police were taking it seriously, Alan Tilbury reports.

Hard to understand

His family find it hard to understand why the shy teen who had won a place at Teeside University has disappeared and are of course extremely concerned. The police held a Press conference for the media to prompt the search to be widened, as fears for his safety mounted.

With searches getting no results the underwater search began and has now retrieved a body from the canal.
