THE DEVELOPMENT OF MERCIA'S Promanade is progressing well.
With its roofing works well under way and the framing to the external walls having commenced on the ground floor and lining of the columns also nearing completion on the first floor.
Into January, these will progress further, and work will commence on the second floor once the roof is in place. The development remains on track to complete at the end of June following a redrawing of the programme to absorb some of the delay in the roof works.

Electricity supply
There are also works to upgrade the marina's electrical supply owing to its increased demand that will continue through January, switching to a more flexible and higher capacity high voltage supply.
But this means that there will be a four hours shutdown of power to the marina early one February morning while the supply is switched by National Grid.
