No CART employees though torrents the previous evening

I HAD been videoing and photographing the situation [at Toddbrook Reservoir] since Sunday prior to the incident, writes Mrs. L Hartley.

Valves all closed and water torrenting in at Kishfield feeder end. These have been sent to Julie Sharman of CaRT. I was the second person to ring and report the breach starting at approx 10am 1st August.

No CaRT employees though torrents running over

There was no sign of any CaRT employees on site, even after the torrents running over the spillway the previous evening.

I walked over the dam almost every morning with my dog and have done for the last six years. My friends and I constantly have bemoaned the lack of interest in the upkeep of the dam. Minimal maintenance carried out by employees with no interest in their jobs.
