Progress on Grantham Canal

Published: Thursday, 11 April 2019

PROGRESS is being made on the restoration of the Grantham Canal, with work on a further lock.

The rebuilding of Kingston’s Lock (14) has reached the stage where scaffolding has to be erected, the walls being too high to reach to continue the brick laying.

Progressed particularly well

Work has progressed particularly well, helped by the experience gained from the rebuilding of Lock 15, with the work undertaken in less time.

It has all of course been helped by more volunteers coming forward to work on the various projects and giving help to the more experienced.
