Body dicovered near canal pub

THE body of a man was discovered by the Wyrley and Essington Canal early this morning.

Police flocked to the areas together with ambulances by the Fingerpost pub at arounf 6.45am, and roped the area off whilst they investigated, Alan Tilbury reports.

Could not save him

This was by the Wyrley and Essington Canal in Pelsall, and though paramedics attended the man it was soon discovered thast nothing could be done to save him.

The police are at present investigating the death.
