Police chase car into canal

A CAR in a police chase ended in the Grand Union Canal in Leicester.

The car was being chased by the police but rounding a bend by the Grand Union Canal, crashed through a fence and ended up in the water, Alan Tilbury reports.

Stolen

It was being chased as it was suspected as being stolen, carrying four people. The four were taken to hospital where one woman remains though not badly injured.

The four in the vehicle included three men and one woman, all in their 20's, and all arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and the theft of a motor vehicle.
