Lee pollution still not cleared

THE pollution of the Lee Navigation at the end of January is still in effect, though most has been cleared.

Hertford Union Bottom Lock is now open and boaters can once again move freely up to the Old Ford Lock, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Clean-up still ongoing

Boaters are asked not to break the booms or go through any of the closed-off locks whilst the clean up efforts are still ongoing.

Movement from Old Ford Lock up to the boom at Lea Bridge is still allowed along with movement North of the boom to Tottenham Lock. Sanitary facilities are still available at Springfield Marina.
