ANOTHER passenger boat is in danger of sinking on the Thames—the second in just a few months.
The passenger boat Wyndham was seen this morning (Friday) to be sinking at its moorings on the river, with the emergency services being called, Keith Gudgin tells us.
Pumped out water
The boat however, though listing badly, was thought not to be in danger of sinking as fireman pumped out the water from one of its catamaran hulls that had taken on water during the night.
The passenger boat, that is licenced for parties, had been saved, a spokesman for the Port of London Authority explained.
Obstruction
It was the London Fire Brigade that were called out to pump the vessel clear of water, as it would have caused an obstruction should it have sunk. There was no one on board at the time of the incident.
