THERE is a sunken narrowboat around two feet under the water on the Soar that is an hazard to navigation.

This is between Ratcliffe Lock (58) and Kegworth Flood Lock (57) Robert Slivinki tells us, and suggests boaters do not navigate this part of the river until it is cleared.

It is believed it could be the ex hire boat that was taken from a nearby marina two weeks ago, as no other boat has been reported as missing or sunk in the area.

Obviously a job for River Canal Rescue.
