OWING to the damage to a lock on the Aire & Calder Navigation, the waterway is closed until it can be inspected when the flood level recedes.
Broadreach Lock (1) has been damaged, but it is not known as to whether by the flood or by a boat Keith Gudgin tells us.
Could be open
It will not be until next Monday until it is inspected, but as a flood lock it could be open when the water recedes.
