Email: Lost tortoise

We are travelling with friends who have lost their tortoise between the bottom of the locks at Hillmorton and Bridge 69 on the Oxford Canal.

This happened on Sunday, and yes, tortoises can move very fast when they want to. Its main colour is khaki and its secondary colour is black/brown.

He has several chips out of his shell at the bottom at the rear and is tagged with the owner's name and home telephone number.

(Our friends have had him for 30 years and experts have estimated his age at between 70 and 80 years, hence the sense of loss.)
