Up to its neck

I HAVE just read Allan's latest article, and it confirmed something that I already suspected. That is, the Milton Keynes branch of the Inland Waterways Association is up to its neck in, if not the originator of, this whole Spygate scandal! Writes Martin Brooks.

I live in Milton Keynes, and have had the misfortune to bump into some of these people. A more self righteous, snobbish bunch of busybodies you could not even imagine!

Private playground

Their goal is to turn this part of the canal into their own private playground, where retired bank managers can dress up in costume and cruise their washer joshers without having to go near the general public!

I wonder, judging by the drop in membership, if the IWA would be wise to disown this branch before it drags their entire organisation into even further disrepute?
