Still waiting

RALPH Freeman's latest piece where, in his last paragraph, he reckons the enforcement johnnies appear to have been instrumental in his troubles, only serves to remind me that their supposed manager, Paul Griffin, has still not answered my questions, posed earlier on here, writes John Wilkinson.

These are regarding the respective costs of his 'team', and the amount of monies actually recouped from their 'enforcement' activities.

Never recouped

Another piece in narrowboatworld recently quoted a cost of something over two million quid for this lot, and I'd put my shirt on the fact that they've never got anywhere near that figure in money recouped from errant boaters.

So Mr. Editor, with your permission, may I again publicly ask Paul Griffin exactly what those figures are? Come on Paul—I'm pretty certain either you or one of your 'team' reads narrowboatworld, so put the figures up here for public perusal!

How much?

1) How much, in total, does your 'enforcement team' cost the tax-paying public every year?

2) How much revenue, in total, does that 'team' bring in, every year?
