You can't moor there!

ONE would-be boater completely misinterpreted the mooring signs outside the Globe on the Grand Union Canal.

And in the process gave him/herself a not too happy Christmas as he/she attempted to 'moor' right outside the pub at Leighton Buzzard.

Waiting to happen

Roger Fox tells us that it was an event waiting to happen as many cars pass on their way to the car park, but this one went a little too wide.

It is of course not too bad in the season when the moorings are full of boats that can clearly be seen, but when empty, there is nothing to show where the road ends and the water starts, and from the way the vehicle is pointing, it had just left the car park...
