Resident boater drowns

A RESIDENT boater at Shardlow Marina on the Trent has been found drowned in the marina.

Danny Vallory was last seen walking away from the marina to shop, but was not noticed returning to his moored boat, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Underwater search

Well known for wearing an Australian-style hat, the police were informed and subsequently an underwater search team discovered his body in the water near his boat.

His wife Georgina told that he was a happy person and had no reason to disappear.

There is to be a post mortem at a later date.
