Email: We're alright Jack!

Has Roger Fox reported these two examples directly to C&RT? Why doesn't he name the boat in his second example? [Moored at water points.]

[Addendum: The cruiser so firmly attached to the Cowley water point is named Force Nine, Roger Fox tells, but the other had no name.]

It's very easy writing with alleged examples of inaction by C&RT, but my own recent experience of contacting C&RT when my access to a water point was blocked shows that they do take action when contacted.

I emailed C&RT with details and a picture of the boat (Janie Diddle) blocking the water point at the top of the Worcester & Birmingham Canal (near the Gas Basin). I email C&RT and within days I received a response from the Enforcement Supervisor for the Midland Regions telling me what steps they were going to take to deal with the issue.

If people want to write to you complaining about unlicenced boats or obstructive behaviour of boats, if they name them (where there is a name) then your other readers can see for themselves what action C&RT take.
