Your correspondent Simon Grindod (Ridiculous Mooring Prices—30th August) asks how what he calls 'continuous cruisers' can avoid becoming 'nuisance moorers' when the price of permanent moorings in the London area is so high. The answer is simple: They should continue with their 'continuous cruise' around the network!

Yes, many boaters will want to live in London but can't afford the mooring fees. They should do what house dwellers who can't afford London prices do—move somewhere else!
