Huddersfield Narrow closed again

THE Huddersfield Narrow Canal is closed yet again, we are  informed, with two locks now impassable.

Lock 34W on the Marsden Flight is closed due to the usual leakage problems, that are being investigated.

Stuck on cill

A lock on the East side, 37E is closed, this time caused by a low pound and a boat thus getting stuck on the cill and dislodging it as it came out of the lock.

Boaters booked for the waterway are advised to contact CART at the number on the copy of their booking form.  There is no intimation as to when the waterway will be re-opened.
