I for one would be quite happy if CART was to be a failure. The waterways would fall into disrepair, the towpaths would be overgrown, boating would become increasingly difficult. Then, the hire boat companies, the brokers, the posh marinas, etc would probably go broke.

Then, the holiday makers would return to Butlin's where they belong, and the retired bank managers would dispose of their shiny toys and return to the golf club where they belong.

Then, the only people on the canal would be the genuine enthusiasts.

Just like before, when I first started. Lovely!
