K&A drained again

ONCE again a pound on the Kennet & Avon Canal has been drained, the second time in a few months.

The pound was drained this weekend by paddles being left open, though it is not known as to whether this was by boaters or vandals, though the latter is suspected, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Struggling

There was a boater struggling to turn his narrowboat without success, until the water level was raised.

The pound had been drained for some time as there was only a small stream running through with fish stranded.
