Stole staff bikes

TEENAGERS stole three bikes from the Globe at Linslade by the Grand Union Canal, belonging to its landlord and his staff.

It was just after 6am when the thieves swooped, obviously with the intention of stealing the bikes, belonging to landlord Andrew Ramsden and two of his staff, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Lives on narrowboat

One of them lives on a narrowboat moored by the the pub, saw what was happening, and gave chase, but to no avail, as the thieves simply pedalled away along the towpath.

One of the bikes has a kiddy-trailer on the back, used by Andrew to take his young son on trips along the towpath. The other two had the names Boss on one and Cosmos on the other, painted black.

Targeted

The bikes were kept in a compound away from view, that leaves the owners in no doubt that the bikes had been targeted.

For any information leading to their recovery, Andrew is offering a £50 reward and a meal for two.  He can be contacted directly on 01525 373338 or call Leighton Police 01234 841212.
