Another lorry stuck at Nantwich

IT HAPPENS all too regularly—lorries getting stuck under a canal bridge on the Shropshire Union Canal.

Once again the road was blocked at Nantwich, this time for more than two hours as a lorry became jammed under the low bridge, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Ignore signs

Drivers all too often either ignore the warning signs for the low bridge or do not know the height of their vehicles, and this often happens, with the road having to be closed whilst the police assist the driver to get his vehicle out.

Residents believe that many lorry drivers either ignore or do not see the warning signs which state that the bridge has a 11ft 6in height limit.
