Chesterfield Canal featured

THE Chesterfield Canal is being featured in a celebration of local history, and community event in North Nottinghamshire, at Thoresby Gallery.

This takes place from 20th February until 20th March, at  the gallery, with the exhibition showcasing events, stories and activities, past and present, and in addition to such as Sherwood Forest and the activities of many groups, will also feature the Chesterfield Canal.

The Chesterfield Canal Trust currently has 1,100 members, run entirely by volunteers, and whose aims are to promote the full restoration and appropriate development of the Chesterfield Canal.
