All on the look-out

THERE seems little chance that the man who took his boat without paying for the work will get away with it.

Pam Pickett tells us that it was moored at the Otter on the Soar and two men were caught on CCTV on the boat, so can be identified.

Circulated description

British Waterways too has circulated the description to all its enforcement officers, as well as boat yards and waterside facilities passing on the information to each other, with Pam remarking that surely it can't get far with outlets on all escape routes now covered.

Readers will be aware that a great deal of work was necessary to get the boat's engine working again, and that the man took the boat without paying, also shutting down his mobile phone.

Gone are the days when it takes days to warn people of such occurrences, for the internet gives the knowledge instantly.

Anyone who wishes to report a sighting can do so to Pam (as the former telephone number is not always manned) at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
