Whatever next?

WHEN money is absolutely no object, this could be the kind of narrowboat you should buy.

It was Roger Fox who encountered this much mocked boat at Calcutt  Locks, and writes that it really does have a forward looking television camera, and the steerer sits in a luxurious captain's chair and twiddles a joystick to steer the boat.

One wonders how it performs in emergency situations, but the bow and stern thrusters may enable it to move sideways out of harms way—that is if the steerer had noticed that there may be something wrong.
