BW to rely on volunteers?

A NEW undertaking that has been commissioned by the Association of Inland Navigation Authorities reveals that volunteers are needed to enable BW to fulfil its navigation commitment.

Sponsored by Defra, it was stated on Friday that ECOTEC Research and Consulting has been commissioned by the Association of Inland Navigation Authorities (AINA), to undertake research into volunteering and inland waterways, specifically in relation to how many volunteers can be gathered to work on the waterways.

Produce a report

AINA wishes to produce a reportĀ  that gathers data on the numbers, activities and types of volunteers of its members and organisations and groups that are associated with its members.

The association is keen to learn more about the 'valuable contribution that volunteers make in maintaining, restoring, using and managing its waterways'.

It is asking companies that are interested in taking part to email Victoria Foreman at ECOTEC This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
